“The Butterfly Effect Snow Editions began in Switzerland by a Butterfly participant that loved the ocean and the mountain! She said “we are still water women, just in the mountains! Snow is only frozen water!” The BE Snow Edition events rippled out the following year to Sweden and now to the first time in Whistler, Canada! The community has been amazing and Julia Murray was the first one to say “Yes! Lets do it!” and after months of planning, the event is just over a week away. It is my first time in Whistler and I am so excited to meet the supportive community that welcomed this event with open arms. It is going to be great fun!” Tatiana, The Original Butterfly
“The BE is coming to Whistler for the first time, what makes this resort so special and why should all Butterflies past, present and new book their tickets? Whistler Blackcomb has so much to offer. The terrain available allows everyone to have a good time. There is a great energy on the mountain that is contagious to all riders. With The Butterfly Effect, we will have an amazing group of ladies all out there for one thing, to have a great time. I think the vibe that will be created from this day on the mountain of meeting new people and skiing at their own pace will inspire everyone to be the effect Positive, fun and happy day! Amazing to support local women’s charity as well, Howe Sound Women’s Centre” Julia Murray, Olympian, World Champion Medallist & creator of Jules Fuel Breakfast.
Lululemon has been a great supporter of the Butterfly Effect and we caught up with Chelsea Dimin to get her views on why they support the BE and what she personally gets out of the BE events as a rider;
“BE connected me with other women on Maui through SUP. I met my good friend Amber at BE 2012 and have remained great friends ever since. Do It! It’s so much fun to be part of the Butterfly Effect! It’ll get you in the snow and there is sure to be a great party after! Our company has supported the Butterfly Effect for three year. BE and Lululemon both aim to empower health and fitness and support the community through events that encourage people to be active and therefore this is an excellent opportunity for our brand to connect with local riders of all ages and to support a good cause.” Chelsea Dimin, Lululemon
